Subsonic aerodynamics research is conducted in the laboratory's subsonic wind tunnel. Supersonic aerodynamics research is conducted in the labs four blow-down type wind tunnels. Wave propagation research is conducted in the labs shock-tube.  The various laser-flow diagnostic systems are employed to measure supersonic flows.  In recent years, we perform experimental, numerical, and analytical studies of nozzle flows, supersonic jets, supersonic cavity flows, wave propagation in high-speed railway tunnels.
